Installing VMWare Player in Kali (Host)

1. Download the vmware player from:

2. Once downloaded open a terminal and navigate to the directory where the bundle was saved. Enterthe following command to make it executable:

chmod +x VMware-Player-5.0.2-1031769.x86_64.bundle <—- The name of the file you downloaded.</blockquote>
 
3. In the same terminal run the following command to install the packages needed by the vmware player installer: 
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-`uname -r`</blockquote>
4. To start the graphical installer enter the following: 
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
./VMware-Player-5.0.2-1031769.x86_64.bundle <—– The name of the file you downloaded</blockquote>
 
Follow the prompts from here, pretty straight forward installer 
Once the install is completed it can be found in \Applications\System T

2. Then, download the package etherwall:

wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/etherwall/Linux/1.0/etherwall-1.0.BETA3.tar.gz</blockquote>
3. Then do extract the tar.gz file to begin the installation etherwall: 
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
tar zfvx etherwall-1.0.BETA3.tar.gz</blockquote>
4. Then, after extracting the files etherwall, then go into the folder to execute the installation: 
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
cd etherwall-1.0.BETA3</blockquote>
5. Then look at the contents of the folder with the command: 
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
ls</blockquote>
7. Upon entering and seeing the contents inside the folder etherwall, then it is time to install, but before it gave permission first, so that the installation can be done without problems:

chmod +x install.sh</blockquote>
